Maintaining Your Site
|
Maintaining your site after it has
been launched is as important as creating the site in the
first
place. Once you have your site up and are receiving visitors
from your promotion efforts, it is important that you provide
updated content to keep them coming back. |
Without question, the most important factor in
getting repeat visitors, and word-of-mouth referrals, is the content
of your site. Visitors to your web site are coming in response
to some stimulus: an ad, an email from Constant Contact, a link
given them as a result of a search, or something similar. It is
likely they are looking for something specific, and are coming
to
your site with the expectation that you can fill there need or
offer them something of value. Your website content must be updated
and
relevant to the product or service you are offering. If you get
the content right, you keep customers from going to look at other
websites and you'll have great success from your site.
The web is a fluid and changing medium. Over the course of time
you may choose to make changes, updates, and/or add information
to your website. Your site should grow as your company grows, and
you strive to meet the needs of the future. Webgreen IT
is available to work with you to make your site a positive experience
for both you and your future customers. Some businesses and organizations
will need a lot of updates, others may not need to change much
at all.
WebGreen IT has developed a Content Management System (CMS) to
assist you in keeping your content fresh and informative. This
will ensure you
continue to get repeat visitors.
We have two options for updating the
content on your site:
|
Option
I allows you to notify us to make changes by email.
We invoice you at an hourly fee. You simply choose how many
hours of professional web site maintenance per month you would
like for your site and we'll take care of the rest.
|
|
Option
II is included in your monthly webhosting
fee and allows maintenance and changes to be completed
on an
on-going basis. |
Your choice of an appropriate maintenance method
depends on how often you plan content changes.
